News about September 5, 2007 event for Nana Baby Home.
Once again we all had a most enjoyable and successful evening to raise support for the Nana Baby Home. Big Thanks to all who participated in Wednesday evening's Dinner and a Cause at Havana Blue Restaurant. Together we raised $3,525! And that's not all. The following is an excerpt from an email we recieved from a regular Dinner and a Cause supporter, Ginger Martin:
"Congratulations and thank you for another fun and successful "Dinner with a Cause."
I was speaking with my friend Charlie Sani who is the owner of Imperial Jewelers downtown. He is familiar with the Nana Baby Home and we were discussing their need for a refrigerator, another crib and a playpen. He would like to buy these for them which would leave last night's funds for their future needs."
What a great example of the ripples in a pond! You find a way to help, someone else sees that and so they are inspired, and on it goes. Ginger also asks that we put aside our extra clothing as she will be holding a clothing drive soon for the kids at NBH.
There are many people to thank who made the evening such a success. Nicole and Eric Horstmeyer, and Zach Zoller for their generosity in allowing us to hold our event at Havana Blue Restaurant. The setting was just beautiful! Winifred McLean helped make the evening go so smoothly and the wait staff were so kind and efficient with the steady supply of delicious hor d'oeuvers!
Terry, Suzanne and I would like to take this opportunity to welcome Pam Larsen to Dinner and a Cause. Of course she's been a participant from the beginning, but just lately has joined our team to help make our events happen. It was appropriate that she join us for an evening with Beulah and Nana Baby Home as she is a great supporter of them. We also admire her enthusiasm and committment to giving to the community. Wecome Pam!
