To the Wonderful Women that support Dinner and a Cause,
Well, Ladies, you have done it again. Our amazing gathering at Billie Hodges gorgeous home was a raging success. Our grand total at the event was $5,741.00 with more donations being send directly to TADA (Therapy Associates and Disability Advocates). We were over 60 fabulous women in attendance! |

First of all, we would like to thank Billie Hodges for opening her wonderful home to all of us. What a gorgeous setting with the sun going down on one side and the moon coming up over the BVI. Absolutely stunning!
A big thanks to Evelyn and Giselle for being the Bartenders Extraordinaire, and keeping the wine flowing. The wine and water was provided by Premier Wine and Spirits for which we are very grateful to Liz Zimmerman and Tegan Lucas. Speaking of the bar, we would also like to thank the Island Beachcomber Hotel and St. Thomas Jet Center for providing us with ice.
Everyone did a wonderful job on the food. We would like to particularly thank Corynne Young for her beautiful cupcakes and David Warner from Bread and Cakes for his outstanding cup cakes as well. They were absolutely delicious.
|
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
We also have to thank Robert DeLugo, Jim Hymes and Lee Seward for helping things to run so smoothly and helping with parking. We seldom publicly thank our wonderful Webmaster, Dan McQuaid enough. He maintains our beautiful website and is responsible for sending the invitation out from our website for those that cannot receiver our Evite invitations. Dan, Thanks so very much for what you do for us! |

Something very special happened at this event. One of our friends that assisted with bartending was watching the amazing scene of camaraderie and sharing, and was serendipitously inspired to write the following poem. Really and Truly, I believe she has captured the essence of the women that attend and support Dinner and a Cause

Dinner and a Cause
They come together For a cause For community For Chardonnay The beautiful people In elegant homes They sip and mingle As the sun sets in the Caribbean Sea If you watch with eyes only This is all you will see In truth They come after long hard days They pay Sometimes from their excess Many times from their need They come out for causes That make women's hearts bleed For the children The sick, the hungry, the homeless And they give Of themselves After a long tiring day They do not bask in the islands They toil here Yet they come For Dinner, yes But mostly for a Cause They are not the kind of women Who see only with their eyes |

As always, most of all we want to thank you for your attendance and support. Without you, each and every one of you, Dinner and a Cause would not exist. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for supporting our Dinner and a Cause recipients and our community. Gratefully, your Dinner and a Cause Team, Rhea, Suzanne, Eula, Kristy, Letty, Joanie and Pam |
